MTS Technik Top Mounts – Evolution 2 for Daily, Stance & Motorsport

When developing the Evolution 2 top mounts, MTS Technik deliberately combined sporty characteristics with a high level of everyday comfort. The goal was to create a top mount that performs equally well in daily road use and under sporty or motorsport conditions.

This is achieved through an optimized design featuring a newly developed uniball bearing, increased rigidity, integrated ball bearings in the spring perches, and a high-quality black-and-gold finish that meets even the highest aesthetic expectations.

Depending on the vehicle application, MTS Technik top mounts allow precise adjustment of camber and, in some cases, caster.

By adjusting the camber angle, cornering grip can be significantly improved. Especially on sporty vehicles such as BMW models, camber settings of up to −2.5 degrees are possible. At the same time, the wheel can be visually aligned perfectly with the fender edge – a decisive advantage for stance and show car setups.

Optional caster adjustment improves steering self-centering, increases high-speed stability, and positively influences dynamic camber change during cornering – a key factor in motorsport, particularly for rear-wheel-drive vehicles.

At the heart of the Evolution 2 top mounts is a newly developed uniball bearing, which is 35% larger than the previous generation and ranks among the largest on the market.

The upper shock absorber mount is one of the most heavily loaded components in a suspension system. For this reason, the uniball bearing was developed from the ground up by MTS Technik and subjected to extensive endurance testing.

Technical features:

With an inner diameter of 18 mm, outer diameter of 35 mm, and a height of 22 mm, the bearing delivers outstanding stability, durability, and precision – even under extreme use.

A key innovation of the Evolution 2 top mounts is the use of integrated angular contact ball bearings in the spring perches. These reduce overall load on the structure and ensure smooth, consistent spring movement.

A common issue with adjustable top mounts – the so-called “jumping spring” effect – is effectively eliminated. The result is noticeably improved ride comfort and trouble-free operation, even during frequent steering inputs or city driving.

Selected MTS Technik top mounts allow for additional lowering, as they are designed to sit lower than factory strut mounts. Especially for stance setups, every millimeter counts – making these top mounts a clear advantage.

They also serve as an ideal complement to coilover suspensions, including those from other manufacturers. While the ride height is adjusted via the suspension itself, the top mounts enable precise wheel angle adjustments for optimal appearance and driving dynamics.

All Evolution 2 top mounts are made from black anodized aluminum, precision-machined on CNC machines. This ensures:
